Coping

Remember the movie Hitch? In lieu of putting pictures of what I have looked like the past week and a half, I thought I would just put this up.

More or less, this is me. My ears did not swell, however.

Still itchy and red, but got another shot and more pills yesterday. We'll see how it all turns out.

Allergic to Alabama

Colin and I are here in Montgomery Alabama. Lovely place.

And I think I may be allergic to it.


Well, to be fair, I don't know exactly what it is that I've been having this reaction to, but it isn't fun. It started with a small rash all over my face, not really visible, but I could feel it all over. That was Thursday. By yesterday it had escalated to full, red, rashy skin all over my face and arms, with the rash filling in to under my eyes so it looked like I was either beaten up or high.

Yesterday morning I woke up with my eyes swollen shut. Colin was so nice and helped me to get signed up for all the insurance I need so that I could go see a doctor. We didn't get to one til 6 last night, but by 8 we were home. I had my first experience with getting benadryl shot into my behind by a very lovely girl, who I will never have to see again, thank goodness.

While today I can definitely tell it is already getting better, I hate leaving our hotel room because I know people just wonder what in the world is wrong with me. When I'm braver I may post a picture or two.

Or not. I look pretty monstrous.


But all in all, we are excited to be here, despite being allergic to it.

I counted my shoes today. Total: 46 pairs (not including dance shoes...)
22 of them are high heels.

I may or may not have a problem...
