Choreography

Dear Colin,

I choreographed a dance.  This is one of the times we have performed it this summer.  It is nice.  A bit messy in this video because a few people were  missing, and I was trying to fill in.  But, I like the dance.  Let me know what you think.  :)

Crying

Dear Colin,

Yesterday the floor re-finisher guys were asking about how I got wrangled into being here while the floor is being done.  I explained that I was just visiting family while you were deployed.  He asked how long you had been gone, and I answered.

His next question, "How is that?"

I have always tried to be honest when people ask things like that. But it's not like I can spill my guts to this guy I just met Monday who really has no idea what it is like to be in this situation.  So my answer seems to always be the same.

"We are blessed that it is only six months."  "It's not fun, but it's going ok." "I'm fine."

I had a friend tell me that she experienced what she termed as "Emotional Constipation" when her husband was first deployed.  Being emotionally numb. But then the tears come.

I think the last couple months I've been constipated emotionally.  I've stayed super busy, and continue to be.  I have a lot of family and friends to visit and a thesis to revise.  But this week, I am alone.  And the constipation is over.  I now seem to have the opposite issue. I can't seem to stop being emotional now.

I miss you.  I hope the next four months go by faster than the last two.

love.

Annoying

Dear Colin,

Several annoying things have happened as of late:

1. My beautiful Iphone fell in the river.  It has since stopped working.
2. I don't know how to use a Droid phone, the replacement phone.
3. I complain about too many things.  I annoy myself.

Also.  The floor re-finisher guys are doing a great job.  Very professional.  Except: they finished this afternoon by telling me to not walk on the floor as it is prepped for tomorrow's staining, and left every light on.

Every. Light.  On the entire main floor.

Annoying.

Because I can...

Dear Colin,

It's pretty obvious that I am not graduating this Saturday. It's beyond my control, I have done all that I can do. But I will graduate in December.

You may call me Master Amy.

So for the two weeks from the end of tour to when I fly back to Utah, I am road tripping up the east coast. Visiting your sister in Maine. They were so fun-

I also cooked lobster for the first time. Dana made me dismember them and everything. Blegh. But then we grilled it too, and it was amazing. Yum.

And then to Boston!

And I love them. Even when they are sassy-pants or throwing up.

Also- I'm with the Rawcliffe's in Connecticut for a few days. It's ok to be jealous. We made cookies.

I love you. Wish you were here.

Love.
